educator vs manager

I nearly burst out loud laughter aft reading ur last sentence. (must control cos in office..)
Muahahaaa.. aint we a grp of baddies. :x
Hmm.. anyway, i rmb him saying that he got quite lotsa experience in the TA line. Correct me if i'm wrong...
Perhaps let us put it this way, SCW is a bad educator but a good manager. hahaaa.
Pls say, I'm a good person.

It has been raining these few days. Somehow I guess, though we aint a seasonal country but we are practically experiencing cool temperature towards the end of the year. Perhaps, if the global warming persistently affecting those temperate countries which resulted them to get higher temperature during winter, who knows we may need to put on winter clothings near future in Singapore~~

Just some random thoughts away from work.

mo

Guess who is on the TV news?

I was watching the chinese news last nite.
It was a report on SP setting up a travel agency on campus which is manned by toursim students.
The students get to design, customise travel packages & even lead tours!
Cool rite~
I wanna lead tours too! *Jealous*
And then guessed who the reporter interviewed?
*Drums rolling*
Ta-daaaa! Mr Siow C.W. appeared on TV!
Seems like he is in charge of the travel agency project.
Eww~ Shouldn't it be Conrad?
More importantly, I'm surprised SCW is still teaching. Lolx.

卖飞佛??

anyway, newspaper (apple daily) ran an article assessing the english standards of some tvb artistes.
1. chen hao's is good cos he grew up in auzzie land. and he can practise his english with gf?? bernice.
2. lam fung's is good oso. the pronuniciation is accurate cos he studied in california. tho only for 1 year.
3. kelvin zheng jia ying. oso good. born in us, studied in canada.
4. chen jian feng. oso good. studied in a prestigious school in hkg, (think its english based). oso hosted a show where he spoke excellent english.

and the most rotten (in the article)
... actually i think the bosco wong is oso damn shitty. heard abit of his english before, in his homepage, he has a personal video introduction.

anyway, ron ng... he pronounced "my favourite" as "卖飞佛". and "johnny depp" as "johnny DEEP".

November...

Eh.. November is a quiet month with zero entry. Haaa. I shall drop in some words.

Went to the Terminal 3 open house last Sunday. It's very greenery with the 5-storey Green Wall plus those tress/flowers lying around here and there. Not much shops are in operation. It definitely got more shops than the other 2 terminals to somehow attract more people to arrive at the airport early. Hahaaa. Macdonald on offer during the open house period, 1-for-1 Frappe. Great. Heard a man commented in the lift that the T3 is much more similar to the HK airport concept (and he keeps repeating to his friend..argh~).

November...
The second last month to end the year...
November...
Christmas trees begin blinking along streets and malls...
November...
Weather turns cool for most seasonal countries...

mo
p.s: Enz, perhaps you could go take a look when you arrive back early nex Jan since T3 is in full operation from 9 Jan onwards.

There's no need to fear, Underdog is here!

Hmm.. went to watch "Underdog" just now @vivo... I had a good time laughing my lungs out and, of course, the theatre is full of laughters at almost every scenes.
Well, I should put it as it's simple and not a much content thingy (if tt's wad u look for in a movie, those very storyline thing, u'll find tis movie quite lame-_-")... abit too scientific and unbelievable. However, I still enjoyed it and it's something that you really could relax, don't require thinking and, basically, to throw everything aside.
If you're kinda tired and moody, you should lookout for this (cutie) superhero!!

Hmmm... watch the hk news today.. gosh~~ to realise that a local uncle, in his 70s, actually perform criminal act (like robbing) so as to be arrested by the police!! Intention behind it?!? He's poor, no money to feed himself. Thus, in mind thinking that having to be put behind the bars, government will provide him with shelter and food. How atrocious. Sometime to think of it, some people they're having alot of food but they opt for dieting, while some others they're in such a poor state that they think of ways to get food.

火柴捧的朋友听到它跌到后,立即扶它去包扎。照了照镜子,火柴捧感叹的说,“咳……我已不在是我。我已变成了棉花捧……”

good or bad, hard to say

Aha~~~ the ans to last week question is:
蕃薯(翻鼠)。

Hmmm... this week let me share a little meaningful story with you... ....

GOOD OR BAD, HARD TO SAY?

Once upon a time, there was a king. The king liked one of his followers very much because he was very wise and always gave very useful advice. Therefore the king took him along wherever he went.

One day, a dog bit the king, the finger was injured and the wound was getting worse. He asked the follower if that was a bad sign. The follower said, Good or bad, hard to say'. In the end, the finger of the king was too bad that had to be cut. The king asked the follower again if that was a bad sign.

Again, the follower gave the same answer, 'Good or bad, hard to say'. The king became very angry and sent the follower to prison.

One day, the king went hunting in the jungle. He got excited when he was on the chase of a deer. Deeper and deeper he went inside the jungle. In the end he found himself lost in the jungle. To make thing worse, he got captured by the native people lived inside the jungle. They wanted to sacrifice him to their god. But when they noticed that the king had one finger short, they released him immediately as he was not a perfect man anymore and not suitable for sacrifice.

The king managed to get back to his palace after all. And he finally understood the follower's wise quote, 'Good or bad, hard to say'. If he hadn't lost one finger, the native people could have killed him. He ordered to release the follower, and apologized to him. But to the king amaze, the follower was not mad at him at all. Instead, the follower said, 'It wasn't a bad thing that you locked me up.' Why? Because if the king hadn't locked the follower up, he would have brought the follower along to the jungle. If the native found that the king was not suitable, they would have used the follower. Again, the quote 'Good or bad, hard to say' stands.

The moral of the story -
Everything that happens in this world, there is no absolute good or bad.Sometimes good things turned out to be bad things eventually, while bad things become a gain.

Whatever good things happen to you, enjoys it, but don't have to hold too tight to it, treat it as a surprise in your life.

Whatever bad things happen to you, don't have to feel too sad or despair, in the end, it might not be a total bad thing after all. If one can understand this, he or she will find life much easier.

dream... dream... dream...

O wow.. it's so great to see enz adjusting well to jap working life. Haa, so enz..... be bringing back the tokyo disneyland carriers for us eh?? YA YA!!! Singapore is extremely hot these few days... like hell. But i believe it has not hit its max yet.. coming july.. damn.

I was almost hit by the stupid car yesterday. And the group of kids beside me too... Damn. Was about to cross the zebra crossing, and the stupid car din stop!! Luckily my joints are flexible enough to react quickily. Stupid driver.

Dragon Boat festival.. is next tues!! Yeah... dumplings.

Hmmm... actually me do came across the idea of touring-cum-working travel life. Especially when I was watching this travel prog that introduce people who went on part-timing during their travel. I guess, it would be a fantastic experience. Huh.. summer courses also sound good. Hee..

Kk.. momo is dreaming before lunch..
I guess it must be due to my hunger :)

hello from HIJ again

blogging from my shitty homestay family house right now. the fact that i can use the comp and blog at this kind of timing shows that i'm like just being treated either as a member of the family already or just a nobody and not some guest. the fact is, all 9 of us on this trip are really very disappointed with this homestay thingy as we're not being treated as guests. cos these families are always receiving guests so they are quite used to it already. anyways, i'm very hungry now. hahha.

but work has been good. the people very nice to me. the sales ppl will bring me out to make sales call and i can get treated to lunch also. :) ytd, almost cried. cos i was giving out flyers and everybody just ignored lah. like selling flags lah. but i was giving out tokyo disneyland carriers leh. ppl oso dun wan. :( then the sun so hot, cos i was giving out during lunch time. the weather is getting to be like sg's. the temp is about 28. and got showers and thunderstorms. watching baseball with the sales ppl next week. was supposed to join the girls working at the counter ytd for dinner and karaoke and drinking. but not enuff $$ ba. so i said can't, so we're going next week. before it's too late.

Friday, June 08, 2007

Hmmm... it's Friday again.

The answer is... *drum roll*drum roll*

It's because our little ant parked his bicycle outside the fridge!!

Muahahaaaaa.

Question of the week:
请问,那一种中药材常会迷路呢?

Mo

work thus far

work has been good thus far. notwithstanding the sometimes boring chop stamp thingy. been out on sales calls with the sales peeps. all men. of course. aged 40 and above. squeezed into a small tiny car. just the 2 of us. ytd, was treated to soba. its a very small restaurant. just 1 table in the middle with everyone sitting around the table. the food was great. i didn:t know kabochya tempura could taste so good. pumpkin, for those who duno wad c~ is.
anyway,
1. the place is damn small.
2. my legs can't be placed under the table.
3. japanese ppl eat damn freakin fast.
4. i can't use chopsticks for nuts.
5. THIS LAO Ah PEK sitting across me was reading this PORN mag lah! then he placed it open faced up on the table. which means, i can see/read also lah!!
haiz. wad a dining experience. the food was great tho!! and point 3 and 4, i'm alrdy used to it.

sorry, can't upload pics cos no cable and this laptop like no bluetooth or infrared. got to rush off to work. i dropped and lost my sweater on my way home!!! and we met a 'biantai' stalker the other day.

Travel bug.. bitting u and bitting me and bitting us... Maybe we can draw up a short trip soon. :)

Hmmm... me went to the PC Show over the weekend. The crowd is so I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. Being a typical and practical S'porean, I've decided to get a new desktop before the GST increase!!! Haaa.. yeah.. 2% matters. So. Now, I'm categorised to the broke stage again! Perhaps, only grass and more grass for the upcoming weeks.

Hmmm... SIM.. maybe would join you guys in applying. Cos my mummy.. is asking me to go study again. -_-"

Are the Hiroshima guys more yandao than those in Tokyo?? And Lynn.. I can feel that this page is flooding.. haa.. I guess, enz will have lotsa things to share when she comes home!! And since ah-gui is holidaying in hkg too, there'll sure be an interesting meetup outcoming. (hkg hkg... brings me bac to our graduation trip..)

Mo
P.S Lynn.. haaa.. the fridge is close. Good try my dear ^^

I got a job! It's an admin assistant at Takashimaya Tower B, some company called The Leading Hotels of The World. Come find me for lunch if you guys happen to drop by there k? Otherwise, I'll be bored to death. I'll be working all the way till 3rd August, and school will start the next week after that.

Anyway, Business rejected me AGAIN!! And I'm not trying anymore, no point wasting my 10 bucks and contributing to NUS. But I've appealed for Arts and Social Science. Think I will be more happy there than my stupid current course.

Enz, happy to know that you are fitting in well there. When can I ever go Japan?? Must earn alot alot alot of money!!

Ah-Gui, so envious that you are going to Hong Kong.. My boyfriend is also going there next Monday.. Everyone is travelling, except me.. So sad.. :-(

There, I've updated my current status. Be back for more next time!
As per Momo's email, decided to put something down.

Glad to read about En's working life there.. haha, but sounds super free!! But enjoy yourself- and go all out to play ba!

Hmmn, well I got rejected by all the 3 unis- no hope le and will not ever try to apply again. So right now like Lynn, we're both lookin' at SIM. I'm most probably going for the UOL courses.

As usual, I have just been teaching tuition ONLY (notice I put it in caps- cos' i'm so bored and like wasting my life away). Besides that, lately I have take on this Sports Camp thing- camp instrutor, so just gotta take care of the kids and shout and scream at & with them. That kind a bit. Not a lot to earn, just something to do.

Went to Kelly Services to seek their employment services. So looking forward for something soon. Got 1 offer from NTU under the Global Immersion Programme to be Junior Executive officer but didn't take it... trying to look for a much better $$$. My aim now is now to get a good job @ a good company and try not to leave like after a while...*TOUGH* to find a career.

The next thing that I'm looking forward to is going to Hong Kong on 14 June 2007, and having hopes that I can find a job soon after that.

an ant's adventure

Ok.. today is Friday.

*jiang jiang jiang jiang*
There's only a straight line mark on the sands because...
Our little ant here is riding on a bicycle. That's why there aint any 6 footprints or wadsoeva..
:)

So did any of you guys got the answer rite??

Ok.. try again for this one:

It's already late at night. Our little ant here is hungry. So, he decided to sneak into the fridge to get some good stuff while everyone else in the house is sleeping. As quietly as he could, it's almost zero level of noise made. And, he started eating happily. The plan is perfect. BUT! Mummy was alarmed and arrested him!!
Why?? How could mummy knew our little ant is stealing food from the fridge since no noise was made...

Quick. Think about it...
(this is abit difficult.. you must really crack your brain. Judging its level of difficulty, there'll be more time allowance for the ans. Make it work, pigs~)

I'm so lifeless recently.. cos my travel-virus is bothering me again... Having to listen to colleague going to Italy with her family nex week... then my friend is asking me to help her out on her hkg tickets...
*ouch* My heart hurts~

Something to perk up your day:

An ant.
As we know, it has got 6 legs. It's logical that when an ant move on sands, he'll leave 6 footprints. However, our little ant here left only a straight line on sands.. 为什么呢?

Think about it ba.... :)
(ans would be out this friday! crack your brain cells!! make it roll before it's polluted by work...)
